Fillings are in NHS Band 2. NHS guidance says white fillings are available on the NHS where clinically necessary, such as on front teeth; on back teeth a silver (amalgam) filling may be offered, with white as a private option.

White filling "from" prices as published by each practice, lowest first. Price details are summarised from each practice's published price list. The price you pay depends on your assessment, so always confirm with the practice.
What affects the price
A white (composite) filling repairs a tooth with tooth-coloured material. It is usually done in one appointment.
- The size of the filling and how many surfaces of the tooth it covers. Many practices publish a "from" price for a small filling.
- Front or back tooth.
- Whether an examination or X-ray is needed first and charged separately.
Questions to ask before you book
- Is this price for a small, medium or large filling?
- Would an NHS filling be an option for this tooth?
- Is an examination needed first, and what does it cost?
Whether a treatment is right for you, and what it will cost, can only be decided after a dentist has examined you. These prices are a starting point for comparing practices, not a quote.
