What affects the price

A full denture replaces all the teeth in the upper or lower jaw. A partial denture replaces some teeth and clips onto the natural teeth that remain.

  • Full or partial, and upper, lower or both. Check whether a price is per denture or per pair.
  • The material: acrylic (plastic) or a metal framework such as cobalt-chrome for partials.
  • The number of fitting appointments and any adjustments afterwards.
  • Immediate dentures fitted on the day teeth are removed, which are often replaced later.

Questions to ask before you book

  • Is this price for one denture (upper or lower) or both?
  • Which material is it, and are adjustments included?
  • Would an NHS denture be suitable for me?

Whether a treatment is right for you, and what it will cost, can only be decided after a dentist has examined you. These prices are a starting point for comparing practices, not a quote.
