Teeth whitening "from" prices as published by each practice, lowest first. Price details are summarised from each practice's published price list. The price you pay depends on your assessment, so always confirm with the practice.

What affects the price

Professional whitening uses a bleaching gel to lighten the colour of natural teeth. Most practices offer home whitening with custom-made trays, in-surgery whitening, or both.

  • Home trays, in-surgery whitening, or a combination. Practices often list these separately.
  • Whether top-up gel and replacement trays are included.
  • An assessment first: NHS guidance says whitening is not suitable for everyone, for example where teeth or gums are unhealthy.

Questions to ask before you book

  • Is this price for home trays, in-surgery whitening or both?
  • Does it include an assessment and top-up gel?
  • Will existing fillings, crowns or veneers change colour? (They won't, so they may stand out.)

Whether a treatment is right for you, and what it will cost, can only be decided after a dentist has examined you. These prices are a starting point for comparing practices, not a quote.
